Ali Shiddique

Chef Ali, classically trained in French cuisine, moved to Dubai in 2012 to help open 11 Woodfire, which earned a Michelin star in its first year.
In 2021, he joined LOWE to pursue his commitment to sustainability, eventually taking over the kitchen. Under his leadership, LOWE became the region’s first restaurant to receive a Michelin Green Star in 2022 and won the inaugural MENA 50 Best Sustainable Restaurant Award that same year. The restaurant has consecutively earned the Green Star from 2022 to 2025, was ranked on the MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants list (No. 15 in 2023, No. 37 in 2024), and received a Gault&Millau Toque in 2025.
