His current venture, 11 Woodfire, received a Michelin star in 2022. Akmal’s contributions have been honored with awards including the INC Award for Excellence in Gastronomy in 2022.

My take on why I chose Hoseki as one of my most memorable places to eat is the incredible attention to detail from Chef Sugiyama. The restaurant serves some of the best sushi outside of Japan. The precision here is top class!
Tashas Cafe is an institution in this city. It serves the community and is a place where you know exactly what you're going to get. The service is impeccable, friendly, and always brings good vibes
I go to my street food choice regularly, and this is what makes Dubai great. In particular, if I have guests from overseas, I like to bring them to Madfoon Al Sadda for some proper Yemeni mandi. Always order the Haneeth lamb ribs and Bukhari rice. Thank me later
