Sahar Parham
Sahar Parham Al Awadhi is a pioneering Emirati pastry chef, recognized as a leading figure in the Middle East’s culinary scene. She made history as the first Emirati-born chef to lead the pastry kitchen at Dubai’s iconic Burj Al Arab.
Her career began outside the kitchen, in communications and marketing, before a passion for baking led her to pursue culinary arts. She trained at La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie under Chef Izu Ani and further honed her skills in Paris.
Joining the Burj Al Arab in 2016, she rose to Head Pastry Chef, leading a team of over 30. Her desserts creatively blend heritage flavors like Umm Ali and local spices with modern techniques and sustainable ingredients.
This innovative work earned her the Best Pastry Chef award at the MENA 50 Best Restaurants Awards in 2022, solidifying her influence on the region’s gastronomy.
