Salam Daqqaq is the owner and chef of the acclaimed Dubai restaurants Bait Maryam and Sufret Maryam, both awarded by GreatList Guide. She has established a distinct culinary concept centered on authentic, home-style Levantine cuisine.

A Palestinian-Jordanian chef, Daqqaq’s culinary philosophy is directly inspired by the traditional recipes and cooking methods passed down through her family, particularly from her mother, Maryam. Prior to launching her restaurants, her career spanned journalism and television production, a background that informs her approach to storytelling through food.

Her restaurants have gained recognition for translating the essence of family meals and shared dining into a professional restaurant experience. As owner and chef, she oversees all strategic, creative, and operational aspects, maintaining a hands-on role in both kitchen and management to preserve the authentic character of her establishments.
