Andrée Nuñez
Chef Andree Nunez is Chef de Cuisine at La Mar by Gastón Acurio in Atlantis The Royal, a leading voice for Peruvian cuisine in the region. From Arequipa, Peru, he began cooking at 14 and joined the Gastón Acurio group at 17.
His career includes stages at world-renowned kitchens: Astrid & Gastón in Lima and the three-Michelin-starred El Celler de Can Roca in Spain. In the Middle East, he has been instrumental in launching concepts in Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Dubai, including as Executive Chef at Boho Social and leading the fusion menu at Tapasake.
A founding member of La Mar’s pre-opening team since 2021, Nunez helped build the restaurant from the ground up. His role spans menu creation, team development, and guest experience, driven by a deep commitment to innovation and Peruvian culinary heritage. For him, the kitchen is a home.
