Jose Barroso

Chef Barroso’s career is closely linked with the acclaimed Portuguese chef José Avillez. He has held significant roles within the chef’s restaurant group in Portugal, including positions at the two-Michelin-starred Belcanto in Lisbon. This experience provided him with extensive knowledge of Portuguese gastronomy and contemporary fine dining techniques.

In his leadership role at Tasca Dubai, located at the Mandarin Oriental, he ensures the menu reflects the authenticity and innovation characteristic of the Avillez brand, adapting it for the international market while maintaining its Portuguese culinary identity.
